(1) It is lawful for a police officer to exercise the following powers in relation to restricted premises without a search warrant—(a) power to enter the restricted premises and to stay on the restricted premises for the time reasonably necessary to exercise the powers mentioned in paragraphs (b) to (f) ;(b) power to search the restricted premises for—(i) a prohibited item; or(ii) anything that may be evidence of the commission of an offence;(c) power to seize from the restricted premises—(i) a prohibited item; or(ii) anything that may be evidence of the commission of an offence;(d) power to open anything that is locked;(e) power to search any person found at the premises for anything mentioned in paragraph (c) that can be concealed on the person;(f) power to photograph any thing that may be evidence of disorderly activities taking place at the restricted premises.
(2) To remove any doubt, it is declared that a power mentioned in subsection (1) may be exercised from time to time as occasion requires.
