PENALTIES AND SENTENCES ACT 1992 - SECT 168

168 Court to give reasons

(1) If a court imposes an indefinite sentence, it must give detailed reasons for imposing the sentence.

(2) The reasons must be given at the time the indefinite sentence is imposed.
