Details of medical examination must be explained

123 Details of medical examination must be explained

(1) This section applies to a doctor undertaking the medical examination of a person under an initial examination order.
(2) The doctor must, if practicable—
(a) give an explanation to the person of the examination to be undertaken in a way likely to be readily understood by the person; and
(b) allow the person an opportunity to submit to the examination voluntarily.
(3) If the person does not submit to the examination voluntarily, the doctor may undertake the examination with the help, and using the force, that is reasonable in the circumstances.
