PUBLIC HEALTH ACT 2005 - SECT 188
Appointment
188 Appointment
(1) The person in charge of a health service facility may, by written
instrument, appoint a doctor to be a designated medical officer.
(2) However,
a doctor may be appointed as a designated medical officer only if, in the
opinion of the person in charge of the health service facility, the doctor has
the necessary expertise or experience to be a designated medical officer.
