Effect of Act on local laws
19 Effect of Act on local laws
(1) This Act does not prevent a local government from making local laws about
public health risks.
(2) For this Act, local laws about public health risks
have effect despite the Local Government Act 2009 , section 27 .
(3) However,
subsection (2) does not apply to a local law that is inconsistent with a
regulation made under section 61 .
