PUBLIC HEALTH ACT 2005 - SECT 228F
Giving information to chief executive
228F Giving information to chief executive
(1) This section applies if a health professional— (a) had primary
responsibility for the care or treatment of a woman while she was pregnant or
within 365 days after the end of her pregnancy; and
(b) is aware of the
maternal death of the woman.
(2) The health professional must, within the
time prescribed under a regulation, give the chief executive a notification
about the death. Penalty— Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
(3)
The notification must— (a) be in the approved form; and
(b) contain the
information prescribed under a regulation.
