PUBLIC HEALTH ACT 2005 - SECT 71
When the person in charge of hospital must notify
71 When the person in charge of hospital must notify
(1) A person in charge of a hospital must, under subsection (2) , unless the
person in charge has a reasonable excuse, notify the chief executive if an
examination of a person by a doctor in the hospital indicates the person—
(a) has or had a clinical diagnosis notifiable condition; or
(b) has or had a
provisional diagnosis notifiable condition.
Penalty— Maximum
penalty—20 penalty units.
(2) A notice under subsection (1) must— (a)
comply with the requirements prescribed under a regulation; and
(b) be in the
approved form.
