Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated ActsEvery lessee to whom there is delivered any writ or plaint for recovery or for delivery of land leased to or held by the lessee, or to whose knowledge any such writ or plaint comes, shall immediately give notice to the lessor or the lessor’s agent, and, if the lessee fails to do so, the lessee shall be liable to the person of whom the lessee holds the land for any damages sustained by that person because of the failure, to be recovered by action in any court of competent jurisdiction.
