PROPERTY LAW ACT 1974 - SECT 310

Likelihood of significant change in financial circumstances

310 Likelihood of significant change in financial circumstances

A court may adjourn an application to adjust interests in the property of either or both of the de facto partners, if the court considers—

(a) there is likely to be a significant change in the financial circumstances of either or both of the de facto partners and it is reasonable to adjourn the application having regard to the time when the change is likely to happen; and
(b) an order the court could make about the property if the change happens is more likely to do justice between the parties than an order the court could make immediately.
