PROPERTY LAW ACT 1974 - SECT 330
Stay or dismissal of proceeding in relation to same person
330 Stay or dismissal of proceeding in relation to same person
(1) If there is a proceeding under this part started by or in relation to the
same person pending in more than 1 court, a court in which a proceeding is
pending may— (a) stay the proceeding pending before it for the time it
considers appropriate; or
(b) dismiss the proceeding.
(2) Before staying or
dismissing a proceeding, a court may make any orders and give any directions
it considers appropriate.
