Steps involved in obtaining a licence
29 Steps involved in obtaining a licence
(1) A person who wishes to obtain a licence must be a suitable person to hold
a licence under division 8 .
(2) The person must apply for the licence by—
(a) giving the chief executive an application showing, among other things, the
person is eligible for the licence; and
(b) paying— (i) the fees prescribed
under a regulation; and
(ii) if, before or when the application is made, a
criminal history costs requirement is made of the applicant—the amount of
the costs required to be paid; and
(c) giving the chief executive the other
information required under section 31 .
(3) In deciding the person’s
application, the chief executive must have regard, among other things, to—
(a) the person’s suitability to hold a licence under this Act; and
(b) the
person’s eligibility for the licence.
