POWERS OF ATTORNEY ACT 1998 - SECT 86
Keep property separate
86 Keep property separate
(1) An attorney for a financial matter must keep the attorney’s property
separate from the principal’s property. Penalty— Maximum
penalty—300 penalty units.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to— (a)
property owned jointly by the principal and attorney; or
(b) property
acquired jointly by the principal and attorney in place of property owned
jointly by the principal and attorney.
(3) Subsection (1) does not affect
another obligation imposed by law.
