POLICE POWERS AND RESPONSIBILITIES ACT 2000 - SECT 247
Variation of authority
247 Variation of authority
(1) The chief executive officer may vary an
authority granted by the chief executive officer— (a) at any time on the
chief executive officer’s own initiative; or
(b) on application under
section 248 .
(2) However, a variation can not be made that has the effect of
extending the period of validity of an urgent authority. Note— The chief
executive officer may delegate powers under this section—see part 6 ,
division 1 .
