(1) This section applies if a police officer considers a friend, relative, lawyer, support person present during the questioning of a relevant person is unreasonably interfering with the questioning.
(2) Before excluding the person from being present during questioning, the police officer must—(a) warn the person not to interfere with the questioning; and(b) give the person 1 further opportunity to stop unreasonably interfering with the questioning; and(c) tell the person that the person may be excluded from being present during the questioning if the person continues to interfere unreasonably with the questioning.
