Taking identifying particulars—proceeding started by notice to appear or complaint and summons
468 Taking identifying particulars—proceeding started by notice to appear or
complaint and summons
(1) This section applies if a police officer decides
to start a proceeding against an adult for an identifying particulars offence
by notice to appear or complaint and summons.
(2) Within a reasonable time
before, or immediately after, serving the notice to appear or complaint and
summons, a police officer may detain the person for the time reasonably
necessary to take or photograph all or any of the person’s identifying
particulars and take or photograph those particulars.
