(1) This section applies if a police officer gives someone an oral direction or makes an oral requirement under this Act.
(2) If the person fails to comply with the direction or requirement, a police officer must, if practicable, warn the person—(a) it is an offence to fail to comply with the direction or requirement, unless the person has a reasonable excuse; and(b) the person may be arrested for the offence.
(3) The police officer must give the person a further reasonable opportunity to comply with the direction or requirement.
