Application for licence
33 Application for licence
(1) An application for a licence— (a) must be made in accordance with the
regulations; and
(b) must be accompanied by— (i) if the applicant is an
individual, 2 recent passport-size photographs of the applicant suitable for
inclusion in a licence and certified in the way prescribed by regulation; and
(ii) the appropriate application fee fixed by regulation.
(2) An applicant
for a licence must at the request of the commission provide any further
information or evidence that the commission may require to decide the
application.
(3) In deciding whether to give a licence, the commission may
make inquiries and investigations that are reasonable and appropriate in the
circumstances, including for example by— (a) seeking confirmation about the
experience of applicants through site inspections and referee checks; and
(b)
carrying out checks with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission,
bankruptcy registers and credit bureaus.
