QUEENSLAND BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION COMMISSION ACT 1991 - SECT 42E
Avoidance of contractual obligations causing significant financial loss
42E Avoidance of contractual obligations causing significant financial loss
(1) This section applies to a person who is a party to a building contract.
(2) The person must not, without reasonable excuse, cause another party to the
building contract to suffer a significant financial loss because of the
person’s deliberate non-compliance with the contract. Penalty—
Maximum penalty—350 penalty units.
