49B Suspension or cancellation for failure to comply with tribunal’s orders
and directions
(1) The tribunal may, in a proceeding to which a licensee is a party, order
that the licensee’s licence be suspended or cancelled if the licensee fails
to comply with an order or direction of the tribunal within the time allowed
by the tribunal.
(2) Before ordering that a licence be suspended or
cancelled, the tribunal must give the licensee a reasonable opportunity to
show cause why it should not be cancelled or suspended.
(3) An order under
this section operates, of its own force, to suspend or cancel the licence if
the licensee fails to comply with the tribunal’s order or direction within
the time allowed by the tribunal.
