272 Time limits
(1) If a former Act fixes a period for something to be done in relation to the
existing proceeding, at the commencement the fixed period continues to apply
to the doing of the thing in relation to the proceeding under this Act.
(2)
Subsection (1) applies whether or not this Act, an enabling Act or the rules
state a shorter or longer period for the doing of the thing in relation to a
proceeding of the same kind under this Act.
(3) However, QCAT may, on the
application of a party to the proceeding or on its own initiative, extend or
shorten the period fixed by the former Act to the extent the period could have
been extended or shortened under the former Act by the former entity.
