RESIDENTIAL TENANCIES AND ROOMING ACCOMMODATION ACT 2008 - SECT 286
Notice to leave if premises being sold
286 Notice to leave if premises being sold
(1) The lessor may give the tenant a notice to leave the premises because—
(a) the lessor is preparing to sell the premises and the preparation requires
the premises to be vacant; or
(b) the lessor has entered into a contract to
sell the premises with vacant possession.
(2) A notice to leave under this
section is called a notice to leave for
"sale contract" .
(3) This section does not apply to a residential tenancy
that is a short tenancy (moveable dwelling).
