RESIDENTIAL TENANCIES AND ROOMING ACCOMMODATION ACT 2008 - SECT 474
Duration of appointment
474 Duration of appointment
(1) The appointment of a director is for the term (not longer than 3 years)
decided by the Governor in Council.
(2) The office of a director becomes
vacant if— (a) the director resigns by signed notice of resignation given to
the Minister; or
(b) the director is found guilty of an indictable offence or
an offence against this Act; or
(c) the director becomes— (i) an employee
of the employing office or of another government entity performing work for
the authority under a work performance arrangement; or
(ii) an employee or
contractor of the authority; or
(d) the director’s appointment is ended by
the Governor in Council under subsection (3) .
(3) The Governor in Council
may, at any time, end the appointment of a director for any reason or none.
