54 Powers etc. of inspectors and others on thoroughfares
(1) Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act or of any by-law or other
decision made by the primary thoroughfare body corporate or the principal body
corporate, any inspector or officer employed by the Crown or a statutory body
(including the local government) or any other person authorised by a statutory
body may enter and be upon any part of the primary thoroughfare or the
secondary thoroughfare for the purpose of exercising powers or authorities or
performing functions or duties as such inspector, officer or other person.
(1A) In respect of the primary thoroughfare and the secondary thoroughfare,
the inspector, officer or other person, in addition to any powers,
authorities, functions and duties vested in the person by or under this or any
other Act or law, shall have such powers, authorities, functions and duties
that the person would have under any Act or law if the primary thoroughfare
and the secondary thoroughfare was a public place.
(2) A person shall not
obstruct the inspector, officer or other person, in his or her access to any
part of the primary thoroughfare or of the secondary thoroughfare as provided
in subsection (1) . Penalty— Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
