SECOND-HAND DEALERS AND PAWNBROKERS ACT 2003 - SECT 57
Person must not alter property register
57 Person must not alter property register
(1) A person must not remove an entry in a property register. Penalty—
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
(2) If a pawnbroker finds an error in
an entry in the pawnbroker’s property register, the pawnbroker may correct
the entry by making a new entry for the transaction in the property register.
(3) In this section—
"remove" includes alter, disguise, erase and make illegible or unintelligible.
