TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER LAND ACT 1991 - SECT 90
Lease etc. to be registered
90 Lease etc. to be registered
(1) The lessee of a part 8 lease must register the lease and an amendment,
surrender or transfer of the lease.
(2) Despite the Land Title Act, section
65 (2) , an instrument of lease for Torres Strait Islander land must include a
plan of survey identifying the lease land.
(3) Subsection (2) does not apply
to a lease entered into only in relation to an area completely within a
building.
