(1) An authorised person may exercise a power in relation to someone else only if the authorised person—(a) first produces the authorised person’s identity card for the person’s inspection; or(b) has the identity card displayed so it is clearly visible to the person.
(2) However, if for any reason it is not practicable to comply with subsection (1) , the authorised person must produce the identity card for inspection by the person at the first reasonable opportunity.
