WORKERS' COMPENSATION AND REHABILITATION ACT 2003 - SECT 69
Who may apply to be a self-insurer
69 Who may apply to be a self-insurer
(1) The following employers may apply to be licensed as a self-insurer— (a)
a single employer;
(b) a group employer.
(2) A body corporate may only apply
as a single employer if no other related bodies corporate to which it is
related employs workers in Queensland.
(3) A related bodies corporate group
employer may only apply for a licence if all related bodies corporate that
employ workers in Queensland are included in the application.
(4) The
Regulator may issue a licence to an employer only if the employer can satisfy
the requirements stated in this part.
