288 Training requirements for workplace health and safety representative

(1) This section applies to a health and safety representative mentioned in section 287 (1) and (5) .

(2) Sections 85 (6) and, subject to section 290 (3) , 90 (4) of this Act do not apply to the representative for a period of 1 year from the commencement of this section.

(3) If the representative, immediately before the repeal of the repealed Act, was a qualified workplace health and safety representative under section 81A of the repealed Act, the representative is taken to have satisfied the requirements of section 90 (4) (a) of this Act.
