YOUTH JUSTICE ACT 1992 - SECT 298
Disclosure of information to court or tribunal
298 Disclosure of information to court or tribunal
(1) A person is not required to disclose confidential information relating to
a child, or the identity of a detention centre employee who has made a report
to the chief executive under section 268 , to a court or tribunal unless
the court or tribunal orders the disclosure.
(2) A court or tribunal may
order the disclosure only if it considers the disclosure— (a) is necessary
for a purpose of this Act; or
(b) would be in the interests of justice.
