LOCAL GOVERNMENT REGULATION 2012 - REG 282
Suspension of employees
282 Suspension of employees
(1) If the chief executive officer is satisfied, on reasonable grounds, that a
local government employee will be subject to disciplinary action, the chief
executive officer may suspend the employee from duty.
(2) Suspension of a
local government employee from duty does not affect the following— (a) the
continuity of the employee’s service in employment with the local
government;
(b) the entitlements previously accrued to the employee from
employment with the local government;
(c) the accrual of entitlements to the
employee during the period of suspension.
(3) A suspended employee must be
paid the employee’s full remuneration as at the start of the suspension for
the period of suspension.
