26 Contents of fumigation notice

A licensed technician must ensure a fumigation notice for a fumigation activity given by the technician under section 25 states the following information—

(a) the contact details of—

(i) if the technician is carrying out the activity for another person who is a business operator—the operator’s business; or

(ii) otherwise—the technician;

(b) the technician’s licence number;

(c) the fumigant to be used for the activity;

(d) the fumigation site and exposure area for the activity;

(e) the day and time the fumigant is to be introduced into the fumigation space for the activity;

(f) an estimate of the length of the exposure period for the activity;

(g) the precautions that should be taken by persons at the fumigation site to minimise exposure to the fumigant.

Examples of precautions for paragraph (g)—

• removing or protecting people or animals while the fumigation activity is carried out

• cleaning items exposed to the fumigant before use
