(1) The chief executive must not grant an educational purposes permit for taking an animal by using a weapon to an individual who is under 17 years.
(2) The chief executive must not grant an educational purposes permit for an animal to an individual unless the individual—(a) either—(i) holds a tertiary qualification relevant to the activities proposed to be carried out under the permit; or(ii) has demonstrated experience and knowledge in relation to the activities proposed to be carried out under the permit; and(b) has experience in the care and husbandry of the species of the animal.
(3) The chief executive must not grant an educational purposes permit to a corporation unless the corporation is an educational institution.
