237 Getting on or into a moving vehicle

(1) A person must not get on, or into, a moving vehicle unless—

(a) the person is—

(i) engaged in the door-to-door delivery or collection of goods, or in the collection of waste or garbage; and

(ii) required to get in or out of the vehicle, or on or off the vehicle, at frequent intervals; and

(b) the vehicle is not travelling at a speed over 5km/h.

Penalty—

Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.

(2) This section does not apply to a person who is getting on or off a bicycle, a personal mobility device or an animal.
