TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (ROAD USE MANAGEMENT--VEHICLE REGISTRATION) REGULATION 2021 - REG 195
Chief executive may request further information
195 Chief executive may request further information
(1) The chief executive may, by written notice given to an applicant, ask for
further information the chief executive reasonably needs to decide the
application.
(2) The notice— (a) must state— (i) the information
required; and
(ii) the time, no earlier than 28 days after the notice is
given, by which the information is required to be given to the chief
executive; and
(iii) the chief executive may cancel the application if the
applicant does not comply with the notice; and
(b) may state a way in which
the information must be given.
(3) If the notice does not state a way in
which the information must be given, the applicant must give the information
in writing.
(4) If the applicant does not comply with the notice, the chief
executive may give the applicant a written notice cancelling the application.
(5) The cancellation takes effect on the day the notice cancelling the
application is given to the applicant or a later day stated in the notice.
