62 Deciding the application

(1) The chief executive must, as soon as practicable, consider the application after receiving all necessary information relevant to the application, and—

(a) grant the application; or

(b) refuse to grant the application.

(2) The chief executive may refuse to grant the application if, within 1 year immediately before the application was made, a disability parking permit held by the applicant was cancelled under chapter 3 , part 1A of the Act on any of the following grounds—

(a) the applicant was convicted of an offence against section 126 (1) of the Act ;

(b) a breach of the condition mentioned in section 65 (1) (d) or (2) (d) .
