UNIFORM CIVIL PROCEDURE RULES 1999 - REG 600
Registrar may make inquiries
600 Registrar may make inquiries
(1) The registrar may make or arrange to be
made any inquiry about the identity of the deceased, the applicant, or
anything else the registrar considers requires proof or explanation.
(2) The
registrar may require an answer to an inquiry to be given by affidavit.
