(1) A failure to give a notice of cross appeal does not affect the powers exercisable by the Court of Appeal on hearing the appeal but the Court of Appeal may adjourn the hearing of the appeal.
(2) If a notice of cross appeal is filed, the Court of Appeal may do any of the following—(a) direct the respondent to serve a notice of cross appeal in compliance with this rule on a party to the proceeding or another person;(b) adjourn the hearing of the appeal;(c) make an order, or give a direction, it considers appropriate as to the conduct of the appeal.
(3) A notice of cross appeal may be amended with the Court of Appeal’s leave.
