Queensland Numbered Acts Queensland Numbered Acts(1) The main purpose of this Act is to provide for the protection of the lives of children and for their sexual safety.
(2) This Act achieves the main purpose--
(a) by providing for the making of orders prohibiting particular sexual offenders from engaging in conduct posing a risk to the lives or sexual safety of children; and
(b) by providing that, if the respondent for an order mentioned in paragraph (a) is not a reportable offender for the Offender Reporting Act when the order is made, on the making of the order, the respondent is taken to be a reportable offender for that Act.
