63 Amendment of s 188D (Chief executive may give information about deceased
child)
(1) Section 188D , heading and subsections (1) and (2) —
omit, insert— 188D Chief executive may give information about particular
deceased persons (1) This section applies if— (a) in the course of
performing functions under, or in relation to the administration of, this Act,
the chief executive acquires information about a person; and
(b) at the time
the chief executive acquires the information, the person is a child; and
(c)
after the chief executive acquires the information, the person dies, whether
or not the person is a child when the person dies.
(2) Subject to subdivision
1, the chief executive may disclose the information to a parent of the
deceased person.
(2) Section 188D (4) , after ‘the person’—
insert—
to whom the information is disclosed
