Queensland Numbered Acts Queensland Numbered Acts(1) An approved teacher who receives a relevant notice must, unless the teacher has a reasonable excuse, return the teacher's certificate of registration or certificate of permission to teach to the college within 21 days after receiving the notice.
Maximum penalty--10 penalty units.
(2) On receiving the certificate, the college must--
(a) amend it appropriately or issue a replacement certificate to the teacher; and
(b) return the amended or replacement certificate to the teacher.
(3) The effect of the amendment does not depend on the amendment being noted on the teacher's certificate of registration or permission to teach.
(4) In this section--
relevant notice means--
(a) a notice under section 41(3), 42(2) or 43(3); or
(b) a notice under section 104 or 164 stating the Teachers Disciplinary Committee has decided to amend, impose or remove a condition of the teacher's registration or permission to teach.
