Queensland Numbered Acts Queensland Numbered Acts(1) A geothermal tenure holder may surrender all or part of the tenure's area only if, under this part--
(a) an application (a surrender application) has been made for approval of the surrender; and
(b) the surrender has been approved.
(2) In this section--
surrender does not include a relinquishment of an area if the relinquishment is required or authorised under--
(a) the relinquishment condition; or
(b) a penalty relinquishment.
