HEALTH AND HOSPITALS NETWORK ACT 2011 No. 32 - SECT 80

80 Action if health service employee is surplus to needs

(1) This section applies if the chief executive believes a health service employee is surplus to the needs of the department or a network because—

(a) more employees are employed than are needed for the effective, efficient and appropriate performance of the functions of the department or the network; or
(b) the duties performed by the employee are no longer required.

(2) The chief executive must take the action required under a health service directive.
