HUMAN RIGHTS ACT 2019 - SECT 50
Intervention by Attorney-General
50 Intervention by Attorney-General
(1) The Attorney-General may, for the State, intervene in and be joined as a
party to a proceeding before a court or tribunal in which— (a) a question of
law arises that relates to the application of this Act; or
(b) a question
arises in relation to the interpretation of a statutory provision in
accordance with this Act.
(2) If the Attorney-General intervenes, the
Attorney-General becomes a party to the proceeding for the purpose of any
appeal from an order made in the proceeding.
