Queensland Numbered Acts Queensland Numbered Acts(1) If a person gains confidential information because of being, or an opportunity given by being, a costs assessor, the person must not make a record of the information or intentionally or recklessly disclose the information other than under subsection (2).
(2) The person may make a record of confidential information, or disclose it to someone else--
(a) for this Act; or
(b) to discharge a function under another law; or
(c) for a proceeding in a court or tribunal; or
(d) if authorised under a regulation or another law; or
(e) if authorised by the person to whom the confidential information relates.
(3) In this section--
confidential information includes information about a person's affairs, but does not include--
(a) information already publicly disclosed unless further disclosure of the information is prohibited by law; or
(b) statistical or other information that could not reasonably be expected to result in the identification of the person to whom the information relates.
