(1) This section applies if the chief executive or an inspector believes—(a) a person has contravened a provision of this Act in circumstances that make it likely the contravention will continue or be repeated; and(b) a matter relating to the contravention is reasonably capable of being rectified; and(c) it is appropriate to give the person an opportunity to rectify the matter.
(2) The chief executive or inspector may give the person a notice (a
"compliance notice" ) requiring the person to rectify the matter.
