Consultation about departmental standards
234 Consultation about departmental standards
(1) Before making a
departmental standard, the chief executive must take reasonable steps to
consult with entities that— (a) are proposed to be subject to the standard;
or
(b) have expertise about the matters proposed to be dealt with by the
standard.
(2) A failure to comply with subsection (1) does not affect the
validity of the departmental standard.
