Functions
58 Functions
(1) The main functions of the agency are to— (a) administer the scheme; and
(b) provide information to the community about the scheme; and
(c) monitor
and review the operation of the scheme, including the treatment, care and
support received by participants under the scheme; and
(d) conduct research
and collect statistics about the scheme; and
(e) give advice and information
to the Treasurer and the commission about the administration, efficiency and
effectiveness of the scheme; and
(f) provide support and funding for
programs, research and education relevant to the treatment, care and support
of participants in the scheme; and
(g) manage the fund; and
(h) keep a
register of providers of services under the scheme.
(2) The agency’s
functions also include any other function given to it under this Act or
another Act.
