Seizing evidence at a place entered with consent
204 Seizing evidence at a place entered with consent
(1) This section applies if— (a) an inspector may enter a place under this
Act only with the consent of an occupier of the place or under a warrant; and
(b) the inspector enters the place after getting the consent.
(2) The
inspector may seize a thing at the place only if— (a) the inspector
reasonably believes the thing is evidence of an offence against this Act; and
(b) seizing the thing is consistent with the purpose of entry, as explained to
the occupier when asking for the occupier’s consent.
