50 Show cause notice

(1) If the commissioner is satisfied a ground exists to take disciplinary action against a licensee, the commissioner must give the licensee a notice (a
"show cause notice" ) before taking the action.

(2) The show cause notice must—

(a) outline the facts and circumstances forming the grounds for taking the disciplinary action against the licensee; and

(b) state the types of disciplinary action that may be taken under section 52 ; and

(c) invite the licensee to make an oral or written submission, within a stated period of at least 20 business days after the notice is given to the licensee (the
"show cause period" ), giving reasons why the disciplinary action should not be taken; and

(d) state how to make a submission.
