TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (MARINE SAFETY) REGULATION 2016 - REG 6

6 References to length of ship

For working out the length of a ship for this regulation, the length is—

(a) for sections 24 and 163 , and schedule 6, part 1, division 2, item 1(a) and part 2, division 1—the distance measured from the foremost tip of the hull to the aftermost part of the hull, excluding appendages; or

(b) otherwise—the measured length of the ship within the meaning of the NSCV, part B.
